This blog is a vehicle to share my findings and ramblings about movement, nutrition and ‘being’. Overwhelmed by the avalanche of information and opinions regarding ones health, I have sought to peel back the layers to look at what best serves the human body – a body whose genetic coding, although slowly changing, is still pretty much 99.9% the same as our cave ancestors.
While our genomes have changed very little, our world has changed ten fold. There simply hasn’t been sufficient time and evolutionary pressure for us to manage the radical changes we have made in the last few hundred years to our diet, movement patterns, stress responses and living environments. Our ignorance of the primal coding that has allowed humankind to survive and evolve has resulted in many of the modern day health issues we now face. So, I’m re-connecting with the original blueprint, trying to mindfully fashion paleolithic principles in a way that can better optimise our response to the world that we live in now.
Going back to basics with how we eat, move and be will help us tune into the wisdom of many undeveloped senses and help us onto the most authentic path that will best serve us as individuals and as a collective whole.
It is fundamentally true that your ultimate guide to strength and knowledge is within you. I hope that what you read here will enrich and empower you to find what’s right for you. Remember, no blog, healer, doctor or health practitioner is anywhere near as intelligent as the innate wisdom within your body.
